eight year old King

This morning, during my reading time, Jehoiachin's age had my interest particularly.

 

2 Chronicles 36:9 says he was 8 years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.

 

(Although NIV version says he was 18)

 

What could 8 year old boy have done to be called evil in the sight of the Lord?  Also what evil could he have done in 3 month long reign?

The poignant point is that even a child of this age is not free from judgement, - they should be responsible for their action. As parents, from very young age, we first ought to have a strict sense of right and wrong, and teach our kids by our example.
